Have you RSVP’d yet?
Well, as of July 23rd, 50 people, including guests,
have. Click here for
the list of who's coming. If you did not receive the
RSVP mailing or if you have misplaced it, send me
(Lorraine) an email at
info@ihs70.org
and I will send you my address. Please reserve in
advance. It will be difficult to accommodate
walk-in’s as the caterer will need a count ahead of time
to be sure we have enough food.
Don’t
forget ...the deadline for responding is August
1st.
The
list of missing classmates has grown as I have been
receiving returned mail from the RSVP mailing. Please
updated list and tell anyone that you may be in contact
with that if they send an email to the mailbox (info@ihs70.org),
I’ll email them the RSVP mailing. The list has been
updated as of July 23rd. The goal is to make sure
everyone has had an opportunity to be included.
The plans....
Plans are firmed up for the
Reunion weekend. Friday night is easy. Just show up at O’Loughlin’s!
There is no need to reserve your place or RSVP for this
event. It’s a “buy-your-own” event.
The
Saturday event will be at
Camp
Eastman,
a Town of Irondequoit facility in Durand. The
festivities begin at
1PM, with dinner being served at
3PM.
The meal will be typical picnic fare with hots, burgers
and chicken. Iced tea and lemonade will be available
with the meal. We will have water on hand. Bring
whatever else you may like to drink. Alcohol is
permitted as long as you are over 21 years old.
We have
reserved the
Conference
Center
which has an inside seating capacity for 82 people. We
will be setting up a 20 x 30 tent outside with seating
and tables for another 50 people. Bring your own lawn
chairs if you like, just in case. Music will be
provided by DJ Alan Cohen (he’s really a nurse, but he’s
filling his iPod with gigabytes of ‘60s and ‘70s
classics for our enjoyment). Special requests? Send
them to the mailbox. Alan will be happy to accommodate.
On
Sunday, we’ll meet at the high school at 10AM for a
tour and a light continental breakfast. It will be fun
to see how much we don’t remember about IHS! You’ll need
to RSVP for this event, but there will not be a separate
charge.
